Players move around the board conducting various games of chance (horse racing, lottery, lucky number, etc.) in order to win money. The first person to reach a certain money level wins the game. The centerpiece of the game is a unique dice shaker that randomizes the dice and has them fall into the handle so that players can bet on the order that the dice fall in (where the highest die will be located, for example).

I believe the lottery numbers don’t have to be consecutive, they just need to appear in the shaker anywhere and in any order.
I just found my 1977 copy of Gambler and I was wondering if you could help me. According to the rules I am missing a few cards from the LOTTERY and the FORTUNE cards. I didn't know if you could either take of picture of all the cards or type up a list of those? That way I could see if I can track down replacement cards to make my set complete again. Thank you
I.O.U is plus 20% isn't it? Either way we all played it today, great fun game 🙂
I just found this one last week at a Thrift store. Nice review. Now I have to get it on the table with the family.
the shaker is a huge version shown in my " RACING BOARD GAME HUGGIN’ THE RAIL 1958 Lane Indicator" The art on this board reminds me of the 70's game Pay Day.
Wasn't there also a 1974 version of this game too? If so, are there any differences between the '74 version and the one you explained on this video? Thanks.
Question: Why are you bald?
